The heel of his boots sounded loudly as he followed the Heiress out of her office. It’s much darker than he had imagined— with nightfall close to rolling in, he was sure that he had about a few hours time before he could catch the ship waiting for him at the port.

Long weeks of settling down into the city was beginning t wear him out, and his patience was wearing thin. Not that he had a particular reason for not wanting to stick around long, but he too had family waiting for him. Family that he hadn’t seen in person since the day they were called for the Equalist Raids. Then almost immediately— not even a good couple of months, and a small problem in the Southern Water Tribe became another catastrophic, world-wide event.

As an afterhthought, she really ought to do something to repay the General for his kindness. Even if it was just convincing her to get some rest, she still felt obligated to do something nice.

His sarcasm wasn’t lost on her, and she did her best to hide an amused smile.

Pulling her keys out of her pocket, she leaves the factory, locks it behind her and then gestures to the sleek Satomobile parked out front. “—Did you need a ride somewhere? I could drop you off at the docks, or– wherever you want to go, really,” she offered.
